RSM x UW Global Case Competition 2020

Building off of my growing enthusiasm towards case competitions, I took a class in the fall just about them! I loved the class, it was methodical and there were so many guest speakers who gave such practical advice and we got to practice with many different types of cases. One of the most memorable was one we did in collaboration with Rotterdam School of Management. We were paired with 2 members from Rotterdam and 2 from Foster and we worked on a week-long case about the wine and spirits market. It was so insightful to learn from other students in a different college across the world. Also it was so fun engaging with anther, challenging to match time zones but it was a valuable experience.

B CMU 301

B CMU 301 was a really practical class personally. There were many professional skills I learned that I will definitely the using in business communications. We had assignments such as memos, elevator pitches, emails and they all challenged me to raise my standard of quality. I enjoyed this class even with being completely online. One particular assignment was a video presentation in which here I talk about strategies Nordstrom can comply to elevate their brick and mortar store experiences.

MGMT 430 Capstone

Alas, that final culmination of my business education at Foster. MGMT 430 Capstone essentially is a case competition where you put to skills the various frameworks and methods you have learned to a strategy development case. It was something I had a lot of hopes in doing and wanted to use all that case comp experience to do it all. And at the end of it, I know I tried to do my best. I watched all my favorite presentations, looked over the many archived presentations I could and worked on every aspect of the project. I am proud that I was able to work on this project as truly a grand finale for my business education journey at Foster.
